BRADEN KING TO DIRECT NATIONAL PDFA AD CAMPAIGN
Truckstop director Braden King has been tapped by Washington Square Films and the Partnership for a Drug-Free America to direct a series of six national television spots. The ads will be shooting across the United States in November and will air in the late spring. A radio and print campaign based on the same material will be rolled out concurrently. Each spot will feature real teens - involved in everything from punk rock bands to filmmaking to rodeo riding - discussing their personal attitudes about drugs. Truckstop composer Michael Krasser will be handling the scores.
BOXHEAD ENSEMBLE FEATURED IN DAVID GORDON GREEN'S UNDERTOW
Director David Gordon Green (George Washington, All the Real Girls) snagged the track "Requiem" from Boxhead Ensemble's "Two Brothers" CD to underscore a key scene in his new film, "Undertow". "Requiem" features Ensemble director Michael Krassner and Ensemble members Jim Becker, Ryan Hembrey and Glenn Kotche. IAN WILLIAMS CUTTING DANNY CLINCH'S BONNAROO MUSIC FEST DVD
Photograper extraordinaire Danny Clinch has tapped TRUCKSTOP editor Ian Williams to help bring his four-part, high-definition mini-series and DVD on the 2004 Bonnaroo Music Festival to life. The project includes performances by Dave Matthews, Patti Smith, Wilco, Beth Orton, Black Keys, Ween and My Morning Jacket - to name but a precious few. Out in '05.
BONNIE 'PRINCE' BILLY'S HORSES VIDEO COMPLETED
DIrector Braden King has completed the video for Bonnie 'Prince' Billy's "Horses" from the new Drag City / Domino release "Bonnie 'Prince' Billy Sings Greatest Palace Music". DP Sam Levy held his own out on I-80; Bonnie shot his own performance footage! Available for viewing right here. The video will also be featured as an extra on the upcoming DVD for Thomas Campbell's excellent new surf film, Sprout.
NEW JOSH ROUSE VIDEO, DVD FINISHED AT TRUCKSTOP
Found Pictures' director Matt Boyd brought his recent video and DVD projects for singer / songwriter Josh Rouse to Truckstop for final sound mix and color correct. The video for "Comeback" is currently up at the Apple iTunes Music store and has been airing on MTV / M2, and the DVD, The Smooth Sounds of Josh Rouse, has been garnering rave reviews - five stars from Uncut! TRIBECA FILM FESTIVAL SELECTION "FRAMES" MIXED AT TRUCKSTOP
We are proud to congratulate directors Henry Corra and Charlene Rule on the selection of their film, FRAMES, foe screening by the Tribeca Film Festival. BOXHEAD ENSEMBLE LIVE AT FOTOFEST 2004
Improvising to a stellar program of poetic short films assembled by filmmaker Braden King and curator Astria Suparak, the Boxhead Ensemble will perform the North American premiere of "Stories, Maps, and Notes from the Half-Light" as part of Fotofest 2004: The Tenth International Biennial of Photography and Photo-Related Art. The event takes place March 13 at the Aurora Picture Show in Houston, TX. more

In December, Truckstop producer / director Morgan Lebus co-directed Devendra Banhart's new video with... Devendra himself! The video for the song, "Little Yellow Spider", was shot on Super 8 with the help of DP Christian Schaal, along with an enormous cast of friends and family.
