DUTCH HARBOR TO SCREEN AT SEATTLE'S NORTHWEST FILM FORUM
Dutch Harbor: Where the Sea Breaks its Back will be screening at the Northwest Film Forum in Seattle on Thursday, September 29 as part of their 10 year anniversary "Superhits" program. The series will also feature work by Samuel Fuller, Jean Luc Goddard, Yasujiro Ozu, Guy Maddin, Abbas Kiarostami, Stephen Soderbergh, Matthew Barney and Miranda July, among others. BONNIE 'PRINCE' BILLY'S "HORSES" AT LA FILM FESTIVAL, MoCA
Bonnie 'Prince' Billy's 'Horses' Video, directed by Braden King, will be screened at this year's Los Angeles Film Festival in the 'Eclectic Mix' program - along with videos from MIA, Blues Explosion, Le Tigre, Chemical Brothers, Jay Z, Secret Machines, Enon, Green Day, The Futureheads, Fatboy Slim, Badly Drawn Boy, Modest Mouse, Peaches, The Strokes and The Postal Service (among others) and directors including Michel Gondry, Mark Romanek, Patrick Daughters, Stylewar, Jared Hess and more. It will also be featured as part of the "Night Vision" program at the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art throughout the fall.

(RE:) CONNECTING WITH KARABAGH PANEL - MONDAY, APRIL 11
Filmmaker Braden King will be presenting video and still photograps from his recent trip to Armenia and Nagorno Karabagh as part of the panel discussion (RE) CONNECTING with KARABAGH, Monday, April 11 at the City University of New York (CUNY) Graduate Center. King's trip was undertaken in preparation for his upcoming narrative feature film, HERE, currently scheduled to be shot in the region during the spring of 2006. HERE AWARDED 2005 CREATIVE CAPITAL GRANT
Creative Capital Foundation, the national arts organization that supports individual artists, had announced the recipients of its 2005 grants. Forty-six artists representing 41 projects in the visual arts and film/video received funding this year. Truckstop's Braden King was awarded the grant for his upcoming feature-film project Here - an experimental road movie about a satellite-mapping engineer working and traveling in Armenia. The film is being produced by Julia King (American Splendor).
